ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

At Manna, we believe that every child deserves a better future. 

​

Manna has identified a gap in the care and support needed by disadvantaged children. Providing them with a healthy breakfast is a good start but their other needs are also important. Our aim in developing this program is to bridge this gap by providing additional supplies and services to our school network for their students.

​

In 2018, we will launch an additional Manna Kids program - THE ENRICHMENT PROGRAM aimed at providing our current school network with additional support to help those in need. As a result of the savings achieved through our partnership with FoodbankWA, Manna will be able to extend vital funding back into our school network through this new program. Our current network of 16 schools around Perth will continue to be serviced with a breakfast program in partnership with FoodBank WA, and Manna will still provide logistical support for the breakfast program.

This pilot Enrichment Program will be developed in two phases over 12 months. Phase One will see Manna consulting with the leaders of our current schools, individually and collectively, to build a program centred around the three core areas of: Learning Support, Food & Care Relief, and Active Social Care. This program, whilst built around the three core areas identified, will ultimately be tailored to fit each school's needs individually, as no two children are alike and no two schools' requirements are the same.

 

Phase Two will involve extending the program to a wider group of WA schools. Our aim is to encourage compassion and empathy, with the end goal of building a program model that is both socially responsible and sustainable.
